When Ellen Carter left the medical practice for life in the West Indies, Doctor Valerie Trent thought life would be dull. She had not reckoned on Ellen's replacement, Doctor Geoff Stewart. He was tall, fair and handsome. Although Valerie was single her long friendship with Hugh Fletcher gave her friends cause to believe they would eventually marry. But Hugh was not the marrying kind!
