Omina Uncharted

(1974)
A novel by

Max Vonner, captain of the Starship Orion, was in orbit around the planet of Omina.

After two years of searching, they had finally found what they were looking for: a planet capable of sustaining human life.

But only five days prior to their arrival, Vonner had discovered that the whole crew were regularly being subjected to a form of brainwashing, stripping them of their memories, instincts and will. Even Vonner himself was only just able to remember that he and Adah Morley, the starship doctor had been engaged to marry.

The shuttle-ship made a perfect landing on Omina; the planet was lush with life. But something felt wrong, and what Vonner then saw made him call everyone immediately back to the shuttle. As they arrive, a distress call comes in from Orion: they are under attack, they are under attack.
