Joshua Crane's marriage to Laura was in trouble - her world wasn't his - so he decided to take a recuperative trip to Florida. In Little Princess Key, Crane met Cob Williams, an old friend of his from his days in Korea. The two men had dinner together and then went on to a few bars. The next thing Crane remembered was waking up with a pounding headache and a severe pain in his back - in a prison cell.
