The Janus Syndrome

Search of an identity had more problems for Dr. Mark Brant than for most. Programmed at a deep level as an agent and then talked into accepting a dangerous mission, which on the surface level he knew he was being two-faced even to himself. The double-headed symbol of Lados might have been coined for him and it was on that troubled planet that the layers of consciousness were peeled away to leave him in possession of a simple core of self.
