Once again the Christmas season is upon us and though the blood moon has perhaps brought death and destruction, the world still muddles on, neither coming to its horrific end or culminating in its supernal return to the paradisiacal glory of our first forebears before they were cast out of the Garden.
Still, we look to the Christmas Season as a time of hope, joy and peace, and perhaps in the dark and dim tales scrawled on the pages within, you might see some glimmer of peace, some glimpse of joy, behind the roiling darkness and the evil forces that threaten to subsume the world in a tsunami of grief and sorrow.
For your consideration, we present a sextet of sanguinary tales of Christmas horror, hate, and even heroism:
