Ever since her childhood arrival in the land known as the Peaks, Soleia has been raised among a loving family of Powerless. Their home in a small village is idyllic, calm, and peaceful. Her nineteenth birthday has come and gone and at long last, she’s confident that—unlike the father she left behind years ago—she is no Tethered.

But when she encounters a thief one awful day, a terrible truth rears its head, and Soleia quickly realizes she will endanger her family if she remains under their roof.

Her only choice is to go into hiding or turn herself in and suffer a wretched fate. She chooses to run, leaving her family behind to find a job in a remote, stately home in the mountains, owned by a powerful, mysterious young man named Rowland Fairfax.

At first, Soleia’s life seems perfect once again. She rarely sees the imposing businessman who owns the property. She rides horses daily, ventures into the mountains as she pleases, and spends the rest of her time entranced by her employer’s massive library. Occasionally, mysterious letters arrive for her via mechanical birds that claim to come from a long-lost sister.
Over the days and weeks, Soleia begins to hope she may find a life beyond the high mountains that hold her prisoner.

But when Fairfax begins to spend more time in his mountain home, Soleia comes to realize she’s living inside a trap that could end her…or it could prove the beginning of a new life for both of them.

Loosely based on the novel Jane Eyre, Bound begins the next story arc of the exciting Thrall series!
