Champagne Spring The legacy of a small but very valuable piece of land in the prosperous Champagne country was just what Chantal and her brother needed to set themselves on their feet, and they were only too willing to settle there and work it. But the arrogant Marquis de la Roque - 'Brut to my friends' - who owned all the rest of the land around, thought the worst of them and their efforts.
