The year is 1588, and Samuel Marion is in love.
Love
should be easy. All the melodies and poems told him it would be, but loving Emily Sullivan, the daughter of the High Priest of a rival Witches Coven, has been anything but easy. With warnings of repercussions ringing in their ears from both sides of their families, Samuel and Emily have found themselves with no other choice than to keep their love a secret.
A secret that is proving harder and harder to keep.
The return of the notorious witch-hunter Thomas Harrow only seems to heighten the lovers worries, when his arrival marks the start of a new set of witch trials.
Attempting to keep his love a secret, while simultaneously maintaining his promises to his Coven and avoiding the witch-hunters wrath, Samuel embarks on a plan to free himself from the shackles of familial expectations.
Not everything goes to plan, however, and Samuel and Emily find themselves thrown into a world of suspicion, trying to outrun their Covens and the witch-hunter, all for the sake of love.
