It's been two weeks since mystery writer, Allen Crane, solved the cold case of the Culvette Five, and he and his mutt, Frankie, are settling into island life on Natchatee Island. In those two weeks, Allen has closed on the old Crossway House, the beach house he'd been renting for six weeks. Corey and Page Castle, his next door neighbors, have thrown him a housewarming party. He's had a book signing at the local bookstore. He's even getting his own section in the Natchatee Library, thanks to his new friend and librarian, Millie Oldfield.
