I know, I know, people say that all the time, but just hear me out. He’s mean, really mean. He even made Frank from finance cry, and that dude doesn’t cry for anything. Sure, Lincoln George is sexy as hell, one of the most sought after bachelors in Breaker’s Point as evidenced by the string of women he parades by my desk.
He’s so damn hard all the time, not willing to bend the rules even a little bit. No matter what is happening in my personal life. And let me tell you there’s a lot happening there. Medical bills up to my eyeballs, a sick mother in hospice care, and struggling with guilt that I’m working when I should be with her.
But I can’t deny that I’m drawn to him, to the demands he makes and how when he’s in control I don’t have to be.

The reason for it is my new shadow, Olivia Hart, assigned to work with me by my business partner to keep him appraised of the changes in the company while he takes an extended leave of absence. She’s too sweet, too kind, too damn tempting, with her soft Southern accent and the array of baked goods she brings into the office nearly every day.
I know I should keep my distance. I know the last thing either of us needs is to get further entangled, but there is something about her that draws me in, makes me crave her. I’m determined to muss her up a bit, to teach her exactly what giving in to my demands can do for her, the pleasure I can bring her.
Nevermind that it can’t go farther than physical.
