What happens when your fated One happens to be someone you’re investigating?

Frederick Ainsworth’s life is, for lack of a better word, mundane. Needing something to occupy his time, he joins the Council as an enforcer, with the small hope that he’d have a better chance of finding that perfect someone to spend the rest of eternity with too. So far, nothing. That is, until he’s sent to Amherst on assignment. When new information about some of the warlocks from Italy is discovered, their involvement in their coven’s trafficking needs to be proven or denied.

Dominic DeLuca is simply old and tired. Well, he feels it. Just shy of three centuries, he is pretty set in his ways, and the last thing he expected was a chance at a new start in a different coven. When the Paranormal Council discovered just how involved his coven master was in human trafficking and drugs, he assumed he would go down with the coven. When his body reacts to the handsome warlock enforcer who is suddenly in Amherst to ask some follow-up questions, he’s elated. That is, until he receives a less-than-warm welcome from him.

Frederick’s first reaction is frustration at being gifted a dishonest One. But once his mind clears, he quickly realizes that he should have known better, and he owes the gorgeous warlock an apology for the public snub. Will Dominic forgive him though?

Frederick is Book Fifteen in the Paranormal Council Enforcers series. Each book in this series will focus on a different couple, but these books are not standalones and should be read in order as there is an ongoing backstory that won’t be resolved quickly. This is a fated mate story in an MPreg world, and there will be at least one baby. You should expect all the normal shenanigans, and remember that sometimes even fated mates need a little help.
