Once Upon A Snowfall

(2024)
A novel by

Texas schoolteacher, Annie Drake, can’t wait to meet her sister, Madi, in Lake Tahoe for a vacation getaway over Christmas break. With several inches of snow predicted each day, the girls are excited for their very first white Christmas.

When Madi’s flight is cancelled the morning she’s set to leave, Annie is devastated. She
can’t spend Christmas alone.

Brent Holcomb works for one of the casinos in Tahoe, delivering chartered guests by bus from the nearby airport. Each day is the same routine, but he loves his job and meeting new people. With an approaching winter storm, things will likely be shut down for a few days, giving him a chance to relax and unwind over the holidays.

Brent comes to Annie’s rescue when she slips and falls leaving the airport. The two seem to hit it off and when they see each other again later that night, they have to wonder if it was fate or just coincidence. When Brent suggests showing her around the next day, how can she say no?

Will their new found friendship lead to something more? Or will they say goodbye when the Christmas break comes to an end?
