A Stable Daddy

(2024)
A novel by

Ryan Sharp never thought he’d be a widower at 51, but that’s the way his cookie unexpectedly crumbled. A year after his husband’s death, he has (mostly) put his life back together. With plans to open a new veterinary clinic on the other side of the country in the works, he heads to his local BDSM club to hopefully find a Dom and let off some steam.

That’s where 34-year-old Oscar Williams finds him, and just in the nick of time, too.

Coming off the back of making a fool of himself in the name of love, Oscar is ready for a fresh start. Visiting a kink club while he’s passing through Brisbane, his protective Daddy instincts kick in when he stumbles upon a Sub being mistreated.

It takes every ounce of willpower not to fall into old impulsive habits when sweet, silver fox Ryan ticks all of Oscar’s boxes, but they go their separate ways after spending a single special evening together.
At least, they
think they’ve gone their separate ways.

Both men have emotional baggage, and Ryan’s never been anyone’s Boy, but bumping into each other again on a random cattle station on the other side of Australia turns out to be a sign neither man can ignore.

Who knew that saving a horse really
can lead to riding a cowboy?

A Stable Daddy is a mostly sweet and fluffy Daddy kink (without age play) novel about two men learning to find love —and themselves— again. Inside you’ll find a Texan cowboy putting down roots in Western Australia, a widower vet who might have always been someone’s Boy without realising it, and the kinkiest and queerest band of stationhands any outback cattle station has ever seen.

CW: Despite having one American MC, A Stable Daddy is written in Australian English (with Australian spelling). The book also contains impact play/sp*nking, ch*king/breath play, edging, and the use of a ch*stity c*ge, as well as themes of loss/grief (including the sudden death of a spouse), anxiety and self-doubt. There is also a scene detailing on page mild SA (a coerced BJ and deliberately ignoring a safe word).

Genre: Gay Romance
