(Book 17 in the Crimson Coven series)
A Story by

Lucas Reid has been to hell and back, almost literally. It's been four months since Lucas was pulled back from the ether and reunited with his earthly form. Found by Sheriff Thibodaux's chosen Dr. Culpepper, he was brought back by the power of Lucian, the Coven Sorcerer. He has struggled to get back to a normal life after spending eighteen months away, it felt like so much longer in that dark dimension. There is an overwhelming sadness and darkness that seems to envelop him, a voice telling him he will never be normal again. His friends and colleagues begin to worry, but Lucas puts on a brave face, not wanting to lose the life he just found again. Into this fog walks the Fate-chosen love of his life. Karam Nour is in Crimson studying a mystical creature and finds himself outgunned. There is more to Karam than meets the eye and Lucas is determined to battle his demons and protect his chosen. Karam brings a light into his life that he thought was extinguished forever. There are dark and evil forces lurking and Lucas is going to have to face the most dangerous battle of his life. Can he conquer his demons and find the light at the end of the tunnel?

Karam Nour knows he shouldn't be doing what he is about to do. He should be going through proper channels and following protocols, not racing off across the world on a one-man mission. Karam is a member of a sacred brotherhood, the Akkadian Knights, and longs to prove himself. His family has been knights for generations, but Karam works in research and data collection for the order. His brother Simeon is a knight, like their father and grandfather before him. Karam knows that if he can take down this creature, he can prove his worth. Karam miscalculates and finds himself in grave danger. He is rescued and brought to the Crimson Coven. There he finds himself drawn to a vampire guard and the attraction is mutual. The bond is growing, love is blooming, but the dark entity still lurks and is growing stronger. Can they defeat this creature before it causes more harm? With Karam and Lucas survive the final battle?
Nothing in Crimson is ever as it seems.
