Enemies shouldn’t be sexy.

Or tempting.

But those rules aren’t written in the Freshman welcome package.

Lux Orlovschi’s first solo mission would be on a nice, safe college campus. The job isn’t even to kill the son of a dangerous politician, only to stick close and gather information. Maybe make friends with his new classmate.

Right. Friends. An assassin's specialty.

But to earn more serious missions, Lux must prove he can handle this one. Despite non-existent social skills and a deeply buried distrust for authority, he won’t fail. How hard could a few weeks of classes and going to a party or two really be?

His biggest obstacle is a drool-worthy professor he’s forced to call ‘sir’.

Who definitely wants him dead.

As a sleeper agent, Professor of Communication Theory, Zane Stabler, can finally enjoy a taste of peace after a lifetime of crawling through the trenches. When he’s activated to watch over a student and eliminate threats against him, he’s not too worried. Glorified babysitter is still a pretty cushy gig, and he won’t lose his tenure.

Except the threat to his charge is part of Eros’ Eight, the kind of black ops Zane’s been wary of his entire career. Deadly assassins whose seductive tactics get them close enough to eliminate any mark? How the hell is he supposed to keep his charge safe when those big blue eyes and innocent smile could tempt a damn saint?

His protection detail would be much simpler if he just took Lux out. And he might not have a choice.

But there’s another option if their deceptive dance doesn’t end with one of them buried in a shallow grave…

Zane might just have to claim the ‘sweet little cherub as his own.
