Billy the Kid, with his legendary 21 kills, was a weakling compared to Veck Sosna, the devilishly smart, nervy outlaw chief of the vicious Comanchero gang. "Skeleton Trail" was lined with the corpses of coutless peons, ranchers and lawmen who had died or vanished at the hands of Sosna. Along that road of death, alone, came Walt Slade.
