Carrie Smith grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan and attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where she majored in Creative Writing and Literature. Carrie is the recipient of three Hopwood Awards for Fiction as well as a fellowship at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. She has been a finalist in Nimrod Magazines Katherine Anne Porter prize for fiction, and she is the author of a literary first novel, Forget Harry published by Simon & Schuster.
