Charlotte has been receiving trinkets every year on the anniversary of her Uncle Jacob’s death. When Sherlock discovers the items spent time in Afghanistan, he and Watson suspect Jacob of wartime pillaging. Charlotte, determined to prove them wrong, gives Sherlock carte blanche to dig up her uncle’s past.A poem found in Jacob’s possession leads them to a murder victim on a property owned by Charlotte’s estate. Unfortunately, before the case gains momentum, a female feline distracts John, forcing Sherlock to rely on Lestrade, which leads to a bit of monkey business on everyone's part.
