Chief Red Claw's Comanche renegades, supplied with latest rifles by a greedy gunrunning outfit, are terrorizing settlers, burning, looting and killing. In desperation, the Army re-hires former trail scout Clay Coleman, a man they once booted out for bending the rules. On the trail west, Clay rescues a mail order bride from a Comanche war party, then catches up with his old saddle partner, Shoshone Sam. Together, the two scouts match their wits and guns against Red Claw's warriors and the ruthless bunch of gunrunners.
