Now I'm stuck in a deadly game of wit and power with a million other suckers. A damned place where (supposedly) only one should survive in the end. The only silver lining is that a Unique Ability is gifted to every participant. Mine is pretty cool, I can create duct tape! Jealous? Everyone else flings fireballs or bends reality like some show-offs. Too bad, monsters don't listen when I ask them (politely) to wait until I wrap them up. The Trials are deadlier than my pizza withdrawal, and it doesn't help that only "special cases" end up here...
Like Emilia—a cheat-like ability and a hero complex the size of a planet. She wants to save everyone, even me. Cute, isn't it? Let's just hope heroism isn't contagious. The last thing I need is a conscience.
