Winston, a Nigerian businessman, resides in a spectacular Malibu mansion overlooking the pacific. He’s handsome, wealthy, and treats Racine like a queen.
Winston seems perfect in every way, but when he proposes to Racine he makes a single request. Racine can enjoy all the riches of his luxurious life, but she must promise never to go into the basement of his Malibu home. Racine is troubled by this request, but after assurances from Winston that he just needs a place to call his own, Racine agrees.
Racine's life with her new husband couldn’t be better, in fact things begin to seem too perfect. When Racine sees the level of Winston’s influence over the powerful people in his world, Racine begins to suspect that Winston’s more than just a successful businessman.
