Eliot Schrefer recommends

Girls Like Her (2024)
Melanie Sumrow
"Keeps you guessing until the very last page. Sumrow's brilliantly-conceived novel is a harrowing journey into child sex trafficking and the United States legal system - and a complicated character study in which how someone is perceived is just as consequential as who they are. Masterful."

Not Quite a Ghost (2024)
Anne Ursu
"Not Quite a Ghost is not quite like anything I've read. Insightful and creepy, surprising and tense, this ghost story is wonderfully and exuberantly human."

Every Star That Falls (2023)
(Suicide Notes, book 2)
Michael Thomas Ford
"Generous, wry, and big-hearted. A touching and riotous journey through the legacies of pain and the wonders of connection."
