Ever since my eyes landed on the pink-haired stranger at my brother’s engagement party,
I haven’t been able to shake her from my thoughts.
And when our paths cross again in a small town bar, I know there’s a reason for it.
But then out of the blue, she asks me to pretend to be her boyfriend.
Something to do with her parents being back in town.
A white lie, a little act, and everyone walks away happy.
With her playful gray eyes and joyful smile, how could I refuse?
So, I agree.
But with time, it’s hard to make out where the game ends and reality starts.
Especially when we start breaking some of the rules.
First the no kiss rule…
Then the definitely-no-sleeping-with-each-other rule...
Was it fate that our paths crossed?
Or are we still only playing a game with an ending that neither one of us expects?
