Ruth Yoder was the only child of hardworking Amish parents, Tom and Mary, and the first in their ordnung to leave the community for Rumpspringa. Although she was terribly homesick in the Englisch world, and did not much like most of the experiences it afforded, she had chosen this path and she would live the experience fully while she had the chance.
Ruth had left in the middle of the night, without a word of her intentions to her friend Peter Lapp, although her friend Lisa knew of her plans. When tragedy struck though, it was Peter that Ruth woke to beside her hospital bed. It was Peter's voice which had drifted into her subconscious over those many days and nights that she lay unaware and broken, reliant on the care of others. Gott's plan is not for us to know, and His timing is perfect.
Would Ruth ever be whole again? If she could, would she be accepted back in the fold by her people?
When life goes off on a tangent, the important role players step up to make the difference in the small world of a lone person.
Genre: Inspirational
