Battles rage when diplomacy fails.
Under the sophisticated exterior of Nebuchadnezzar, the new King of Babylon, lurks a Cyclops - a monster. Through the art and mathematics in the new palace runs an unseen river of blood. And representatives who arrive bringing gifts and oaths of loyalty aren’t aware their words are being weighed. Each is judged against their moxie, the acreage of farmland at home, and the size of their army. For Nebuchadnezzar, despite appearances, seeks the failure of diplomacy.

Based on his heroism, Loukas Gigantos invites his brothers Veot and Alex to accompany him to Babylon. Unaware of palace intrigue, the evil under the glamor, and the horrific plans for the future, they’re taken in by the majesty of the court. As Alex will, he meets and befriends Queen Amytis and her handmaidens. Enlisting help from his brothers, they plan a garden for the homesick queen. But during the design phase, Veot Gigantos uncovers a plan that spells doom for their homeland. Where they arrived in Babylon at noon and during a parade, they’ll flee the fabled city under cover of darkness as hunted men.

From Carchemish to Babylon to Cyprus, the Gigantos boys are just one misstep from being devoured by monsters. Only their natural skills, the gifts of the artifacts passed down from their giant ancestors, and the bond between brothers will allow Veot, Loukas, and Alex to survive.

With one leg deep in ancient history, another steeped in lore by an Earnest Gary Gygax story, and the third leg drawn from mythology,
The Gygax Odyssey series takes you on a breathtaking voyage of adventure.
