For Clint Beck, a quest to arrest Ruffen is also his chance at redemption.

Rustling is a big problem for the God-fearing folks of Perryville in 1870. Not only that, but it’s now escalated with the killing of community pillar Jonas Davidson – a farmer, husband and father of five.

The town screams for justice.

As Perryville sheriff, Clint sets out to arrest the guilty parties. Almost everyone in the county knows that Clyde Ruffen and his gang are behind the heinous crime but… proving it is another story.

Ruffen has spent thirty years learning how to hide his crimes and avoid the law. He even trades stolen livestock with nearby Indian tribes.

Clint will need all of his law enforcement skills to figure out a way to bring Ruffen to trial.

For Clint, the chase after Ruffen is also his shot at redemption. A year earlier as a young marshal, he briefly surrendered his pistol to an outlaw in an effort to save a young girl. Some folks think giving up his iron is a cowardly act. Clint is cleared of any wrongdoing but left Abilene town under a cloud of dishonor.

Clint wants to set the record straight and perhaps find happiness with Lydia Andrews – a young widow with children who also isn’t afraid to take on the world.

Note: Each novel in the Western Justice Adventures series is a standalone story, with sprinkles of romance, that can be read out of order.
