An omnibus of novels by Jonas Saul
The Sarah Roberts Series Vol. 22-24 - Three novels in one collection!
The Hunt (Book Twenty-Two)
Sarah has spent the past decade receiving prophetic messages from her dead sister. Some are easy to understand, others not so much. When Sarah receives only part of a message about a matador beside a woman named Wendy, she realizes her sister is being restricted. Another message comes through forecasting bloodshed and heartache, further confusing the issue. Yet, Sarah is supposed to stop a matador beside Wendy. None of it makes any sense and soon Sarah and Parkman are trying to find a woman named Wendy.
MATADOR is an acronym for Man-Portable, Anti-Tank, Anti-Door, shoulder-fired rocket launcher. An illegal arms deal has taken place in the Toronto area, and someone is going to use the MATADOR to take down a commercial airliner. Things quickly go wrong, and the authorities arrest Sarah and Parkman on weapons charges. Their arrest comes to the attention of Canadian military officials who arrange Sarah’s release. They want to know how Sarah acquired the MATADOR, even though she had nothing to do with it. The Canadian military aren’t the only ones interested in MATADOR. Highly trained ex-special forces want their weapons back. And Sarah Roberts can’t tell the good guys from the bad guys or why they all seem to think she has their weapons. In a fight to stay alive, Sarah goes on The Hunt to uncover the people who put a bullseye on her back, while over a dozen mercenaries and armed ex-military types are hunting her.
Sarah enters the battle blindly because her sister’s messages are still restricted, except for the one about how it will all end—in bloodshed and heartache.
The Delivery (Book Twenty-Three)
Shortly after a series of macabre deliveries arrive for Sarah and Aaron, the authorities show up to make arrests. Evidence is found in Sarah’s possession—literally blood on her hands and clothing. A body in a hotel room is connected to her, and an arrest warrant is issued. The police raid Aaron’s dojo and additional body parts are discovered. Alex and Parkman escape with Sarah. They’re the only ones left with their freedom, the only ones in the unique position to find out who set them up and why. As every police officer in Canada and the United States hunts them, they fight to stay alive while searching for whoever planted a target on their backs. Then Vivian whispers something shocking to Sarah. A terrifying secret is revealed that’ll change Sarah’s life and mission forever. But that’s only if she continues doing what she’s doing.
The Delivery may be the termination of the journey.
The Trap (Book Twenty-Four)
Traps have been set for Sarah Roberts and her closest friends, her inner circle. Aaron is abducted from a restaurant, Parkman is grabbed in his apartment, and the dojo is attacked. Alex barely escapes capture. Then they come for Sarah. As the traps are sprung one by one, and the death toll rises throughout the city, the authorities scramble to contain it. Ultimately, these traps were set to snare Alex. Someone powerful needs him to do a job, something only a man of his unique skillset could accomplish. Of course, Alex will refuse, but would he decline if Sarah’s life hung in the balance? While Sarah tries to piece it together and struggle to stay alive, Alex embarks on a mission that he sees as futile. It’ll ruin his life and lead to a maximum prison sentence no matter how it plays out. When Alex learns the full scope of the mission, he can’t go through with it, even knowing failure is certain death for Sarah. He prays she’ll understand—if she’s still alive—because there’s no way he can complete the job.
