NEW MEANING FOR THE TERM "GLAD BAGS"! SACKS OF CASH, ANYONE?
Roy and Forest, heroes of LET'S GO KNOCK OVER SEASIDE, follow their high-rolling dreams to the Big Easy when a beautiful, possibly Dutch con artist they know only too well needs their help again. Right. Roy and Forest know she's Satan's Spawn--they've learned the hard way--and yet...
Forest still has that soft spot for her he just can't shake. Apparently, the Dutch Treat has moved up in the world, but she's still up to her old tricks. This time she's struck the mother lode, and the plot thickens so enticingly you might need a flow chart to follow who's conning whom. The fun is in the diabolical twists and turns, very few of them (SPOILER ALERT!) Roy and Forest's. (But then, if you've met The Treat, you already know that.)
WHO WILL LIKE IT: Fans of noir and elaborate capers, especially Elmore Leonard's particular brand of soft-core lowlife heroes. And for women readers who like female protagonists who aren't molls, victims, or sociopaths--just diabolically clever Queens of Crime. WARNING! Language! (Those boys.)
Genre: Mystery
