Killian Hart, bard and Prince of the Winter realm, arrives in the Magic City to become the new director of the Fairy Bureau of Investigation. When he arrives, he finds that his job description includes more than overseeing the travel between the realms. It also includes calming a Kobold strike in the local mines, attending dryad luncheons, and appeasing the retired forge god on the mountain.
In the meantime, the nine realms are on the brink of war. Killian hopes to aid his allies from the human realm, but he barely gets time for a break.
