Blackwood magic could destroy my life.

Matt Kohler. The academy's most gifted elemental witch. The guy with the big magic—and the bigger ego—never gave me the time of day, until forced to work with me. Now I've discovered we share a rare witchbond and a deeper connection than most.

Matt doesn't care about breaking academy rules, and he faces expulsion and time at Ravenhold Reform Academy if he steps out of line again. But Matt's magic is more than disrupting class with clever spells—he's found the Blackwood grimoire, and I'm terrified I'll lose him.

Matt promised me he'd stop, but when Blackwood magic gets a hold on you, life changes.

His decisions lead to shocking consequences, and now I don't know where Matt is. People don't understand that life without Matt tears me apart, and I'm not staying at the academy while he's in danger.

Nobody will expect the quiet, inferior witch to take a risk, but when I'm with Matt, I'm more powerful than they think. All bonded witches will do anything to be together and keep each other safe. The consequences don't matter to either of us.

I have allies outside the academy, but are the people offering to help me friends or enemies? And if I do find him, will he be the Matt I knew or a different one controlled by the magic he tried to escape?

Blackwood magic destroys lives, but I won't let their evil destroy mine.

Blackwood Magic is part of the Nightworld Academy series and focuses on Matt and Amelia's relationship. The events take place before Term Five, but I have decided to publish between Term Five and Term Six to avoid spoilers.

Please note: The first part of the book was originally published as a short novella in an anthology last year. Blackwood Magic is a full-length book with twice as much story!
