Plague of Shadows

Memories of the Eastern Front haunt Ulrich Weber, as do the injuries that sidelined him to a desk job in wartime Berlin. He knows his time is running out and with Germany’s crippling losses in Stalingrad, it’s only a matter of time before they send him back into the mud and blood of Hitler’s foolish war. On the eve of renewed Allied bombardments against the Nazi capital, Ulrich’s costly decision to escape the draft puts him in the middle of a new war, against living weapons of shadow and cruelty that know no loyalty except to their own kind. Ulrich and Berlin itself are about to find themselves at ground zero of a battle that will tear Nazi Germany apart.
