Evan Petty loves one thing in life: his three-year-old daughter, Mia. When he loses sight of her at a wedding rehearsal, he’s initially relieved to find that a beautiful woman is keeping an eye on her. But that woman turns out to be someone whose name he knows all too well.

For Caitlyn Muncie, Evan is a reminder of an all-too-unpleasant past. Her ex-boyfriend is now married to Evan’s ex-wife. As Caitlyn spends more time with him over the course of the weekend, she wonders if there might be a way to get back at their exes.

But from the time they say “I do” in front of a diner chef-turned-ordained minister, both Caitlyn and Evan know that this is about more than making their exes jealous. They’re already developing feelings for each other. They’ll just need to overcome their trust issues and learn to love again.
