Michelle Sacks

Michelle Sacks was born in Cape Town. She holds an MA in Literature and Film from the University of Cape Town, and has been shortlisted twice for the South African PEN Literary Award. Her short stories have been published in the 2007 and 2011 editions of the JM Coetzee-judged anthology, African Pens: New Writing from Southern Africa as well as in literary journal New Contrast and Akashic Books. In 2014, she was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Short Story Prize for her story, All them savages.
