Bound by Marriage / Durango Affair

Young girl agrees to marry older wealthy more sophisticated male. Its not entirely clear why Gabriel makes this offer - the premise is that he wants the wife and children without being overly challenged and he thinks Jess will be malleable material to fit the mould. She has agreed to marry him to pay for a year of studying abroad (art) and to save her parents farm which would otherwise be sold. Post marriage there is passion in the bedroom as they turn out to be majorly compatible and the appearance of Jess' first love and Gabriel sophisticated ex to create some dramatic tension. Jess grows up and is able finally to challenge Gabriel and he realises that he doesn't really want a doormat and of course they fall in love.
