Thirteen people, scarred by misfortune and tragedy, find a way to leave their past behind and start over.

When the Hampton Cove town council decides to tear down the old marina and construct a new one, the shopkeepers along the marina strip who’ve lovingly tended to their customers for years suddenly find themselves faced with an uncertain future.

Jake Parker, who runs the Tackle & Bait, has been through an acrimonious divorce that left him financially and emotionally beaten. Fiona Palmer, who operates a nail salon, finds her life in turmoil when her affair with a married man is exposed. And Nathalie Walker and her sister Sasha, who run the local diner, are hit by tragedy when Nathalie’s husband suffers cardiac arrest and the shock causes Nathalie to go into premature labor.

Finding themselves at the end of their rope by the loss of their livelihood and the personal tragedies that engulf them, they hit upon a novel idea: why not take a break? Why not sail away and hit the reset button on their lives? When out of the blue such an opportunity presents itself, thirteen souls who have been scarred and battered by life will have a chance to discover if it’s possible to walk away from their past and create a new future.
