Lyra
For the last year, I’ve lived a dangerous, lonely life in exile because my family and ex-fiancé didn’t see the good in helping hell-wolves back to their world from ours. Are they dangerous? Absolutely. A single bite can kill in hours. But some are scared, especially the hell-wolf pups orphaned by hunters. But these hell-wolves don’t scare me, neither do ley-line magic eruptions.
The only thing that’s ever startled me in this forest was the orc who just barreled through my front door, sword drawn, ready to… kill me? But something about him is different. I know what magic feels like. And this--whatever this is between us--is something even stronger than magic.

It was supposed to be a joke—at least, I thought it was supposed to be a joke. I’d take my rite of passage for the orcish Iron Chain Clan. Hunt down a witch helping hell-wolves and return with her head. Claim my status in the clan and move on with my life. The entire hunt sounded so far-fetched and stupid—a witch in a hut in the woods helping fiendish wolves—that I truly thought it was a lie.
Until I barged through the witch’s front door. Until she was beautiful and breath-taking. Until she summoned tree roots with nature magic to capture me in her home.
Now I’m just wondering if I’ll get back to my clan alive. And without falling in love.
AN ORC’S MATE is a short, insta-love MF romance perfect for the holiday.
Genre: Paranormal Romance
