Lessek's Key

(2006)
(The second book in the Eldarn Trilogy series)
A novel by

The Larion spell table lies dormant in a forgotten chamber in Sandcliff Palace, the abandoned Larion Senate stronghold on Eldarn's North Sea coast. The spell table, unused in nearly a thousand Twinmoons, holds the power to save the people of the five lands from the oppression and brutality that have enslaved them for generations but right now it is worthless. Without Lessek's key, the nondescript stone Steven Taylor and Mark Jenkins overlooked on the night they fell through the far portal into Eldarn, the table is nothing more than a slab of granite.

It's up to Steven Taylor to retrieve the key, though a narrow escape has left the would-be sorcerer without the magic of the hickory staff. And he has more to worry about than that: as Steven races across America, Nerak, the fallen Larion dictator is following close behind.

In Eldarn, the Falkan Resistance forces are massing outside Traver's Notch, preparing for an assault on the Gorskan border. Mark, Garec and Gilmour, a surviving Larion Senator, are hurrying north to join them in hopes of reaching Sandcliff Palace. Without Lessek's key and the Larion spell table, there will be little to stop Nerak from destroying Eldarn . . .

Return to the mystical world of Eldarn, where the magic of the Larion Senators waits for the restoration of Lessek's key.
