The Hurricane Blonde (2023)
Halley Sutton
"The Hurricane Blonde is a vivid, chilling noir steeped in L.A. sunshine and Hollywood lore. Sutton gives us a backstage pass to a former child actor's investigation of her sister's death - revealing a world that is both ruthlessly cruel and dazzlingly irresistible."
Maddalena and the Dark (2023)
Julia Fine
"Maddalena and the Dark is the book of my dreams - a feverish, intimate story of obsession and ambition, set in Venice's shadowy canals and glittering palazzos, with an ending that still keeps me up at night. Fine's writing is magnetic and unstoppable. I can't stop talking to people about this book!"
The Cloisters (2022)
Katy Hays
"Hays's mesmerizing debut feels like the air before a summer storm--thick and sinister, shimmering with tension. A seductive unfurling of lies, envy, and the pull of the occult, The Cloisters does for tarot what The Secret History did for Greek class. This sharp, shadowy book held me in thrall from beginning to star-crossed end."
