Simone St James recommends
Middle of the Night (2024)
Riley Sager
"Middle of the Night is Riley Sager at his masterful best--this story is dark, scary, and twisty, but also bittersweet. It's the secrets that hide in a bucolic neighborhood on a summer night, lingering in the freshly cut grass and the sound of crickets. You will follow these fascinating characters through its brilliantly woven plot all the way to the unexpected, poignant end."
The September House (2023)
Carissa Orlando
"Shocking, electrifying, and absolutely original. Carissa Orlando takes us on a journey that moves from savagely funny to terrifying with the turn of a page. It's an unflinching exploration of the dark things we don't talk about, and it's a must read for horror fans."
Two Wars and a Wedding (2023)
Lauren Willig
"With her trademark wit and storytelling talent, Lauren Willig takes you on a journey into history that is both wildly entertaining and deeply heartfelt. You'll be rooting for this courageous, delightful heroine on every page."
