Generational curses seem to have claimed me as their latest victim. I come from an ancient bloodline of witches who bound their coven's powers at the prophecy of one of them being fated to a wolf shifter. They would rather see their entire lineage suffer than let Fate take its course. Now, here I am—a single mother of three beautiful children, grappling with newfound powers and a history that was stolen from us.

They say it takes a village to raise a child, and Wintermoon is finally offering me that support when I felt like I was mentally drowning. But it turns out the prophecy is real. I’m fated to a wolf shifter named Jacob from the House of Zorah, who hasn’t shifted out of his wolf form in over a thousand years. Clearly, he needs saving. But how can I help him when I can barely help myself?

Jacob is determined to keep me by his side. With the support of Kade and Leah, I’m learning to embrace my new powers, but I face a difficult choice. I can either join the Witching Glen, where my people reside in Wintermoon, or follow Fate’s path with Jacob. It’s a tough decision because, despite my frustrations with this heathen wolf shifter, there’s a magnetic
pull on my heart that makes me hesitate to let go.

Jacob

I lost everything in the Great War—my entire pack. I resented Gabriel for saving me that night; I should have died alongside them. Why did Fate spare me only to let me languish in a purgatory for a thousand years, waiting for my mate? Broken, I haven’t shifted out of my wolf form since the war—until Hazel gave me a glimmer of hope. She told me my fated mate was already in Wintermoon, waiting for me.

As I struggle to adjust to my human form and bond with my cousins in the House of Zorah, who have taken me in, I’ve been searching Wintermoon tirelessly for my mate. But after months of searching almost every night, I'm beginning to lose hope. That is, until I visit a tourist island with Olivia and Gabriel and catch her scent—sweet honey, a flavor that has comforted me for the past thousand years.

I find her in a diner, working as a chef, preparing the very sandwiches I’ve come to love since arriving in Wintermoon. Overcome with emotion, I impulsively snatch her over the counter, my hope finally within reach. But Angie isn’t just human; she’s a witch and a mother. As a witch, she isn’t bound by Fate’s laws—she could reject me and return to the Witching Glen.

The House of Zorah harbors a deep hatred for witches, and I understand why. I’m in desperate need of saving, and I can’t help but wonder if Angie thinks I’m worth the trouble. Yet I’ll do anything to keep her by my side, even if it means tearing down the Witching Glen itself.
