RATCATCHER
The police have Internal Affairs departments. British Intelligence has John Purkiss, the Ratcatcher. After a renegade former British spymaster, Fallon, is sighted in the Baltic city of Tallinn on the eve of a historic summit meeting between the Russian and Estonian presidents, Purkiss is despatched to investigate, and uncovers a conspiracy that threatens to tear Europe, and the world, apart. But Purkiss has personal reasons for going after Fallon. Four years ago, Fallon was imprisoned for life for the murder of Purkiss's fiancee. A murder Purkiss himself witnessed.
DELIVERING CALIBAN
Summoned to Amsterdam to investigate a cryptic message about a British agent, Darius Pope, Purkiss quickly discovers he's up against an opponent of unusual ingenuity - and capable of extreme violence. Within hours Pope has disappeared, and two CIA agents are dead. Meanwhile, in Charlottesville, Virginia, a young musician, Nina Ramirez, is haunted by watchers, men who seem to be stalking her at every turn. Are they genuine, or products of her increasingly troubled mind? Purkiss finds himself in a race against time to stop Pope's and Nina's destinies converging in New York City, something he'll be able to prevent only by uncovering the secret of a monstrous fifteen-year-old Honduran operation named Caliban...
JOKERMAN
On a summer's morning in suburban England, a secret meeting between the Home Secretary and an MI5 agent is disrupted by a sniper's bullet. Asked to investigate a suspected assassin within the British Security Service, MI5, Purkiss refuses: his remit is policing MI6, the foreign intelligence agency. Then a violent attack on Purkiss in his own home leaves his closest friend near to death, and Purkiss is drawn into a dark conspiracy which penetrates to the heart of the body politic. In a nightmarish atmosphere of betrayal and danger, Purkiss is forced to question the very motives of the people he previously trusted, as he heads towards a final confrontation with the killer known as the Jokerman.
