Recently retired homicide detective Vic Gorski is living his best life fishing on North Padre Island, Texas, when his old Air Force boss calls him and asks him to investigate a suspicious death. The problem was, the job was way up on the North Shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota. Since the fish werent biting, Vic agrees to take on the temporary job. But only until he completes the case. Once he gets to the northland, Vic soon finds that hes out of his element. His investigation soon takes a dramatic turn, when the state of Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension confirms the death was a murder. Now Vic must sift though a usual list of potential suspects as he unravels the death of this small town hero. His only choice is to consider everyone in town a suspect and eliminate those who could not have killed the man. The problem was, too many people had a motive for murder. Can he discover the murderer before he becomes the next target?
