Lantern of Honor

Honor Featherstone is doing the best she can. With her husband gone to war, she’s the closest thing Lantern, Texas has to a doctor. But it’s been a year and a half since the war ended and she still faithfully lights a lantern for him every evening. She longs to tell him the good news: Their sixth son, Benjamin, was born eight months after her husband left for war. During the rodeo the women of Lantern are putting on to attract men to town, Honor’s attention is drawn to a mysterious cowboy who is not participating in the rodeo. Is it time to admit her beloved husband is gone and open her heart to new possibilities?

Former Pinkerton Agent, Monty O’Mallory, finds himself in Lantern, Texas trailing the man who murdered his kid brother, Benjamin. When he meets the town’s doctor, who has six sons, his heart is swayed. He must keep his promise to his brother and remain focused on finding the killer. Then he learns Honor’s youngest is also named Benjamin. Can he make up for losing his brother by protecting her sons? Can he fulfill his heart’s desires, or will he sacrifice a promise made for a chance at love? Is it possible to do both or must he let go of one to fulfill the other?
