Can love really conquer all or is that just what they want us to believe?

Tabitha knew what she wanted, the fairytale love story like in her favorite books. But the path to finding love isn't always like what is written between the pages and she soon finds out what it means to truly love someone, even when they won't love you back. Accepting his proposal for a mail order bride, she now must decide if she can live within his "no relationship" stipulations or run back home and disappear into her books where love conquers all.

Hastings's sorrow for losses he still couldn't understand has left him unable to love anyone for fear of losing them, but he has his sister's children counting on him. He would do anything for them, including putting his heart at risk. He makes the decision to get a mail order bride to care for the children with the stipulation that it would be only that. Thinking he had it all under control, he settles into his plan, until she walks into his life and scrambles all of it.

Can he give her the love she wants or will he lose her to fear of the unknown?
