Until one day, he finds someone whos not quite dead yet.
Impossible was a word that never had meaning to Helen Carter. After a horse-riding accident as a child, they said shed never walk again, but she proved them wrong. When they told her that she couldnt become a preacher because she was a girl, she served her church in every possible way, using her life as her testimony. When they told her that she couldnt become a missionary to the native tribes out west, she decided instead to answer the request to become the mail order bride of one. With what she felt was a firm call upon her life, Helen left her home in Lynchburg, Virginia for Montana Territory. After months of travel on the Oregon Trail, her journey is almost over when her wagon is attacked by bandits. When shes left for dead, it becomes impossible for her to make her dreams come true, but again, she doesnt know the meaning of that word.
