Bridget is a new immigrant in New York. She comes from Prussia and carries more baggage than just steamer trunks and carpet bags. She carries a royally huge secret. She is considered ineligible for marriage back home. Her mother sends her to America to protect her from the Prussian powers that wish to destroy her.
Cole Riggins Sallee was raised by his brother and sister-in-law on their late father’s corn farm. He is twenty-one and has found no one to marry in Seward, Kansas. Determined to have the same wonderful marriage as his brother Gavin, he seeks the matchmaker for a proxy bride.
