After the frightening way Hazel reacted when Flynn told her the truth about Carly, he's afraid to be honest about Zahara. Wanting to preserve their relationship and not make her run away, he decides to tell her at a later time. But when Zahara shows up at the apartment, it makes matters difficult for him. Scarlet is grumpy staying home every day, and it doesn't help that her husband is psychotically controlling. She puts him in his place several times even though she still loves him. And when he flies to San Francisco for his mother's appointment, she's frustrated she has to remain behind. Cortland immediately falls back into the role as Monnique's boyfriend when they get to Seattle, acting as her crutch while she grieves. Seeing her cry and break down only makes him feel worse. But when her ex stops by the wake, it brings out the worst in him. Unable to stop himself, he launches himself at her ex without thinking twice about it. Ryan gets an unexpected phone call one night. When he recognizes the voice on the other line, his hands shake and the anger washes through him. But he doesn't give into demands and ends the phone call. Unable to tell Scarlet what happened, he keeps the knowledge to himself. Mike's bachelor party isn't what he was hoping for. The booze, the girls, and the poker aren't his scene. After groups of girls openly flirt with Mike and his men, he gets stressed out. He'd rather be at home with his pregnant fiance. But drama still hits the fan.
