A Novella by

In a time where women were expected to be subservient, no more than a wife and mother, Eliza was truly a breath of fresh air.
She was well read, sought knowledge and wasn't afraid to share thoughts of equal rights for women, the idea of marrying for love, or indeed not marrying at all. Perhaps, in a different family, those thoughts might be acceptable, but as she was the crown princess, they were not.
With her father, The King, determined to see her married, a ball is arranged with possible suitors. Eliza doesn't appreciate their attention, nor their motives, even less so when Oliver, Duke of Somerton, introduces himself, and yet, there is something about him that annoys and interests her in equal parts.
With his strong bloodline, family name and approval of the crown, he is considered the perfect choice.
For Eliza, his talk of the things he will show her, the things they will do, along with the aching and desperation he triggers in her mind and body, she knows he is the only choice.
