The Burdens of Beasts: Books 1-3
(2024)(A book in the Burdens of Beasts series)
An omnibus of novels by Jesse Teller
Follow the adventures of Tack across new deserts and ancient forests in this special collection of The Burdens of Beasts trilogy. The set includes all three complete novels, plus an exclusive bonus novel: Promises Kept.
Scorch (Book One):
Tack normally wouldn't stay in one place this long. He'll have to leave soon or risk being found. This land is full of its own turmoil anyway. The king hunting the queen, her bodyguards on such high alert she's a prisoner to her own protection. It's not exactly war, but it isn't peace either. Maybe that's what Tack likes about it here, the desert that stretches between battle and old wounds.
First Tree (Book Two):
The king of Syphere sends forces after a fleeing Rambler, a former bodyguard of his elusive queen. His new general pursues the fugitive deep into the ancient Forest of the First Tree. The more villages she decimates, the more she realizes Tack the Hornet Rider is a quarry she cannot lose. The destruction in her wake only adds to her glory. What forces of nature could possibly stop her?
Fane (Book Three):
Tack returns to Syphere, having reclaimed a power he had lost, to once again ride his hornet, join the Ramblers, and defend the queen. Their new enemy is beyond his ability to match, and an ancient power must rise to come to the queen's aid. But will a handful of rangers and a handful of bodyguards be enough to hold back the wrath of the king with his new might?
Genre: Fantasy
