A novel by

Lady Harriet "Harry" Halesworth, a socially awkward aristocrat, returns to her ancestral home, Bollingham Hall, after a heartbreak that shattered her last relationship. Determined to make a fresh start, she throws herself into reviving the village’s annual Christmas Fair, hoping to spread some much-needed cheer to the community she loves.

However, the idyllic Winter Wonderland she and her committee worked so hard to create is soon plagued by a series of mysterious acts of sabotage. The situation turns dire when her close friend, Penelope Strive—the local drama teachersuffers a serious injury while preparing the school’s production of A Christmas Carol.

Enter Luca Giordano, a dashing Italian historian with a shadowy past, who has taken over running the vintage fairground rides. Despite his own secrets, Luca is more than willing to team up with Harry to uncover the saboteur (much to the delight of Harry’s numerous aunts, who are eager to see her settle down with a charming young man).

As they begin questioning suspects, it quickly becomes clear that something far more sinister is at play. With the clock ticking down to Christmas Eve, Harry and Luca must race against time to catch the culprit—or risk losing everything the village has worked for.

A quintessentially British cosy mystery, sprinkled with romance and holiday cheer.
